Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arthur Sousa got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Gavin Joyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaine Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tad Duff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Sousa in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Elkhorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Fairchild to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Joyce in the 9th minute of play forced Hot Springs Village's goalkeeper Blaine Thorne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Eric Naylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Arthur Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hot Springs Village fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gavin Joyce made a kick off. When Laurențiu Botea fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hot Springs Village's protests and gave Laurențiu Botea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Elkhorn booed when Hot Springs Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Botea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryant Mobley's late challenge caught a Hot Springs Village's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryant Mobley helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Elkhorn's Bryant Mobley got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Hot Springs Village's Arthur Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tad Duff. Tad Duff yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Arthur Sousa in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tad Duff, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 64 minutes into the match, Arthur Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tad Duff. Elkhorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arthur Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 70 minutes into the match, Elkhorn's goalkeeper Tad Duff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Sousa. After 71 minutes Elkhorn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Narciso Mitxel who took care of the corner kick. When Arthur Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Hot Springs Village fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Sousa couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Fairchild during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tad Duff was a little too slow when Dávid Szentesi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-5. Bryant Mobley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Thorne having to interfere. Tad Duff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arthur Sousa went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Douglas Robertson's late challenge caught a Elkhorn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Robertson helped the player get up and apologised. Hot Springs Village's Blaine Thorne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavin Joyce in the 95th minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Arthur Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elkhorn's Tad Duff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
