Savannah Striders's Guillermo Koenig got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Savannah Striders's Taci Yekta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Savannah Striders from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the L.A. Wolves F.C defense, Micah Erwin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brant Palacios. The L.A. Wolves F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brant Palacios should have stopped the shot. When Savannah Striders's Guillermo Koenig in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye L.A. Wolves F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Savannah Striders were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Koenig to make the kick off. Micah Erwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brant Palacios having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daron Strong got free with Brant Palacios in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th match minute, Savannah Striders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Chappell to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Savannah Striders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Koenig to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in L.A. Wolves F.C's zone, Henry Tormes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brant Palacios came out of the goal and Henry Tormes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melvin Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Andy Roberson had to leave the field with a concussion. Freddy Chappell was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute, Melvin Benitez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guillermo Koenig was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Savannah Striders's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Savannah Striders played a much better game than L.A. Wolves F.C and deserved their victory. The L.A. Wolves F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
