Oscar Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Lott in the 14th minute of the match. Antony Hinwood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tuan Napier made a huge save. After 34 played minutes Effingham got a freekick which was hit by Al Vigil. When Chad Hare fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Effingham's protests and gave Chad Hare a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Effingham's Chad Hare got a free kick in the 35th minute. Leo Huber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Oscar Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Levi Bradley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joesph Browne was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Berwyn's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Huber came free, but Oscar Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Martínez having to interfere. Oscar Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chad Hare in the 57th minute of the match. Oscar Martínez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Berwyn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Effingham's Leo Huber got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oscar Martínez. Leo Huber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Oscar Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Chad Hare got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antony Hinwood during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78thth minute of the game Leo Huber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berwyn's Oscar Martínez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leo Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Dylan Lott had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Martínez. Berwyn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dylan Lott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Leo Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Martínez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Berwyn's zone, Dylan Lott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Martínez came out of the goal and Dylan Lott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 90 in the game by Leo Huber from a close distance when the talented Oscar Martínez managed to make a qualified save. Berwyn's players were relieved. Leo Huber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Oscar Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dylan Lott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leo Huber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Berwyn's Oscar Martínez got control of the ball when Dylan Lott tried to sneak it across the goal line. Effingham's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
