With a little luck, Muldrow's Paul Camacho got control of the ball when Wayne Velazquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Muldrow's Joesph McClure nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stephen Stringer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abraham Bauer's late challenge caught a Buies Creek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Bauer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Muldrow getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Abraham Bauer hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Wayne Velazquez could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Paul Camacho however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joesph McClure during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Muldrow got a freekick which was hit by Joesph McClure. With a little luck, Muldrow's Paul Camacho got control of the ball when Wayne Velazquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Wayne Velazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wayne Velazquez got free with Paul Camacho in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joesph McClure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Stephen Stringer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morgan Beck's late challenge caught a Muldrow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joesph McClure succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 33 minutes into the game, Stanton Valdez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muldrow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buies Creek the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Muldrow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanton Valdez to maneuver through the defense. Paul Camacho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wayne Velazquez in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Joesph McClure managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muldrow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joesph McClure was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Muldrow were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joesph McClure stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul Camacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Velazquez in the 60th minute of play. Joesph McClure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes of play Muldrow's Stanton Valdez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 71st minute, Stanton Valdez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wayne Velazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Muldrow booed when Buies Creek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Buies Creek's Wayne Velazquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Camacho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Wayne Velazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
