With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nathanial Sutherland in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Gee saved Miami Vice from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Good came free, but Claudio Avalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's goalkeeper Claudio Avalos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thurman Kidd. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Moody in the 11th minute of play forced Fenerbahce SK's goalkeeper Claudio Avalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brad Chandler made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fenerbahce SK's Shawn Baldwin. Thurman Segura charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thurman Segura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudio Avalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emmitt Edmonds in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Nathanial Sutherland notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Miami Vice's Jonathan Gee. Jonathan Gee was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trey Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce SK's Clifford Didlick got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 44th minute, Thurman Kidd made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Avalos. Fenerbahce SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Claudio Avalos made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Thurman Kidd sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nathanial Sutherland made a kick off. Claudio Avalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Moody in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Nelson Moody had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Avalos. Fenerbahce SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Moody was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Santo Corbin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudio Avalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thurman Kidd in the 71st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Nathanial Sutherland got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Gee quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Ervin Lowry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Miami Vice getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Emmitt Edmonds hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, one of Fenerbahce SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miami Vice's Jonathan Gee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathanial Sutherland in the 94th minute of play. Luis Suggs's late challenge caught a Fenerbahce SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Suggs helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Luis Suggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
