The México FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Estebano should have stopped the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerardo Estebano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Ferry Pass's Zack Harris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerardo Estebano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The long shot by Kory Gallegos in the 43rd minute really tested Gerardo Estebano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 44th minute, Elliott Vinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Elliott Vinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gerardo Estebano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

If George Albrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodore Stiles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adrian Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerardo Estebano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zack Harris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to México FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. George Albrecht hit a great ball. Wilton Padgett hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. México FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
