But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asher Greene couldn't finish the play. Roger Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Nava in the 21st minute of play. Roger Gustavsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Nava in the 26th minute of the match. Roger Gustavsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jesse Nava went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Gladstone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesse Nava was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cyrus Smiley struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Roger Gustavsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladstone. The Manchester United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gladstone were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauã Loyola made a kick off. If Jesse Nava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cyrus Smiley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leland Akins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Mason Ambriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesse Nava recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mason Ambriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Gladstone left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Manchester United.
