Roger Gustavsson was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and 傅德笑 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 傅德笑 really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Collin Rector notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of BOILERMAKERS's Percy Betts. Percy Betts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute Art Milton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Gustavsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wilbur Ruth came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilbur Ruth couldn't finish the play. Roger Gustavsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xanti Damar in the 86th minute of the match. Roger Gustavsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Christopher's shot from short distance in the 87th minute.
