In the 22nd minute Art Milton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Alston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Boruc Jarosiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOILERMAKERS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FAIR PLAY MZ the free kick. Percy Betts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zachery Henderson's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute Pierre Bocanegra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Betts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, FAIR PLAY MZ's Kirby Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percy Betts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roberto Alston made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Boruc Jarosiewicz sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

BOILERMAKERS's Virgil Christopher was substituted for Boruc Jarosiewicz. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Alston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art Milton, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 82nd minute Art Milton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Alston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Pierre Bocanegra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FAIR PLAY MZ's goalkeeper Roberto Alston, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Percy Betts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Bocanegra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Bocanegra in the 97th minute of play forced BOILERMAKERS's goalkeeper Percy Betts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BOILERMAKERS fans cheered their team off the field, for while FAIR PLAY MZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
