Ali Leonard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Holden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Harry Holden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yong Babcock, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of New Bern FC booed when Weymouth Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Brandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hal McQueen during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Weymouth Soccer getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hal McQueen hit a great ball. Donnie Wang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Weymouth Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Roe. Deshawn Bain hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Weymouth Soccer's Harry Holden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Weymouth Soccer from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute of the match Nicholas Doud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harry Holden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Hal McQueen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Sorenson. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Holden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Weymouth Soccer's zone, Yong Babcock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Holden came out of the goal and Yong Babcock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The New Bern FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Weymouth Soccer were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Hal McQueen made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Weymouth Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Kristofer Neely. The long shot by Wayne Roe in the 58th minute really tested Carlos Sorenson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Yong Babcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New Bern FC's Carlos Sorenson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hal McQueen in the 70th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Nicholas Doud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Weymouth Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Connell came free, but Harry Holden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yong Babcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Holden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yong Babcock's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Although New Bern FC had been in control for most of the match, Weymouth Soccer still came away with the win.
