Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gladstone's Gerald Peoples started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Jake Clemons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Art Milton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Leland Akins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boruc Jarosiewicz in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leland Akins saved Gladstone from getting behind. After some careless play in the Gladstone defense, Boruc Jarosiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leland Akins. The Gladstone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leland Akins should have stopped the shot. Leland Akins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Art Milton went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Gladstone's zone, 傅德笑 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leland Akins came out of the goal and 傅德笑 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Boruc Jarosiewicz made a precise shot to the right of Leland Akins. Gladstone's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 26th minute Boruc Jarosiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Jarosiewicz in the 26th minute of play forced Gladstone's goalkeeper Leland Akins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gladstone's goalkeeper Leland Akins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, 傅德笑 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leland Akins. Gladstone's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 傅德笑 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Percy Betts made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jesse Nava sent off a good shot on target. After 38 minutes of play, Gladstone's Gerald Peoples made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percy Betts was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42ndth minute of the game Art Milton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gladstone's Leland Akins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gerald Peoples managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gladstone's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Peoples was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Betts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Percy Betts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Peoples in the 48th minute of play. The Gladstone players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BOILERMAKERS were winning 2-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Art Milton made a kick off. Virgil Christopher's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leland Akins firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leland Akins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art Milton, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 64 played minutes BOILERMAKERS got a freekick which was hit by Marin Benga. In the 65th minute of the match Gerald Peoples shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percy Betts showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 68th match minute, BOILERMAKERS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Christopher to maneuver through the defense. Jake Clemons's late challenge caught a Gladstone's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jake Clemons helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BOILERMAKERS's Marin Benga got a free kick in the 72nd minute. BOILERMAKERS's Percy Betts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Nava in the 74th minute of play. Percy Betts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Peoples in the 79th minute of play. Virgil Christopher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Leland Akins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute 傅德笑 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, 傅德笑 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Gladstone getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Stacey Lyles hit a great ball. The supporters of Gladstone booed when BOILERMAKERS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Clemons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy Betts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Nava in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Gerald Peoples shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Betts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th match minute, BOILERMAKERS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Lowry to maneuver through the defense.
