An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Loyola in the 34th minute of play forced Johnson Lane's goalkeeper Aaron Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kauã Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Vogt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Johnson Lane's Taylor Rivas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.

Manchester United's Kauã Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manchester United played a much better game than Johnson Lane and deserved their victory. The Johnson Lane players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
