The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesse Nava got free with Aaron Vogt in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mason Ambriz in the 4th minute of play forced Johnson Lane's goalkeeper Aaron Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Johnson Lane defense, Jesse Nava kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Vogt. The Johnson Lane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Vogt should have stopped the shot. Cyrus Smiley hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Johnson Lane from getting a goal against them. Aaron Vogt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrus Smiley in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Gladstone's Jesse Nava ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Vogt. Aaron Vogt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Aaron Vogt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrus Smiley in the 17th minute. Johnson Lane's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Jesse Nava scored to the left of an out of position Aaron Vogt, making the score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyrus Smiley got free with Aaron Vogt in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Mason Ambriz came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesse Nava could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Aaron Vogt made a huge save. Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Johnson Lane from getting a goal against them. Jesse Nava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Johnson Lane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquis Bynum to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrus Smiley, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerald Peoples in the 72nd minute of play forced Johnson Lane's goalkeeper Aaron Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Cyrus Smiley came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Jesse Nava made a precise shot to the right of Aaron Vogt. Johnson Lane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 88 played minutes Johnson Lane got a freekick which was hit by Everett Gilmore. Gerald Peoples didn't quite understand what happened when in the 90 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Nava in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Mason Ambriz made a precise shot to the right of Aaron Vogt. Johnson Lane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 97 minutes into the match, Gerald Peoples notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt. Aaron Vogt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Gladstone were the better team. Gladstone's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
