In the 86th minute, one of Diboll:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diboll. Cameron Parnell had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Gerald Peoples's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Gladstone got a corner. Diboll's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gerald Peoples ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gerald Peoples almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Diboll's Cameron Parnell did a great save. Jesse Nava's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cameron Parnell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Cameron Parnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Peoples in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Joesph Fletcher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diboll fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. After 99 played minutes Diboll got a freekick which was hit by Roman Zavala. Diboll's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
