Harry Holden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Hal McQueen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leland Akins. Hal McQueen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Brandon in the 11th minute of play forced Gladstone's goalkeeper Leland Akins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Holden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesse Nava's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Weymouth Soccer's Harry Holden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald Peoples in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Weymouth Soccer's Kristofer Neely got a free kick in the 14th minute. Cyrus Smiley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Holden having to interfere. Deshawn Bain kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyrus Smiley couldn't finish the play. Harry Holden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Smiley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mason Ambriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Holden having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Jesse Nava cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Harry Holden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Weymouth Soccer getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jaime Brandon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mason Ambriz in the 47th minute of play forced Weymouth Soccer's goalkeeper Harry Holden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

After having played for 54 minutes, Cyrus Smiley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gladstone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyrus Smiley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute Randell Mullins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Hal McQueen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jesse Nava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, Gladstone's Jesse Nava made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Holden was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th match minute, Gladstone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mason Ambriz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randell Mullins in the 90th minute of play forced Gladstone's goalkeeper Leland Akins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gerald Peoples came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Gladstone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald Peoples couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Cyrus Smiley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Holden was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-5. Gladstone's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
