Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Damon Lehman made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Abdul Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Damon Lehman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Johnson Lane's supporters rose to their feet, but Damon Lehman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odell Gagne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Craig Cornell's late challenge caught a Johnson Lane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Craig Cornell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, one of Big Flats Airport AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Big Flats Airport AFC. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Johnson Lane. Damon Lehman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Odell Gagne. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Brandt came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taylor Rivas charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taylor Rivas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Johnson Lane got a freekick which was hit by Taylor Rivas. After a defensive mix-up in Big Flats Airport AFC's zone, Desmond Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odell Gagne came out of the goal and Desmond Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrell Cates in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Big Flats Airport AFC booed when Johnson Lane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taylor Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Jaime Brandt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terrell Cates, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Aaron Vogt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdul Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Vogt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terrell Cates in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Johnson Lane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Nunn to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Terrell Cates came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnson Lane's Rob Nunn got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Rob Nunn off the ground. In the 42nd minute, Rob Nunn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Stan Hager had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Vogt. Johnson Lane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stan Hager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 47th minute, Johnson Lane's Marquis Bynum seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marquis Bynum the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Johnson Lane protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marquis Bynum had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Marquis Bynum kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Shane Sanderson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 49 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Aaron Vogt right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Terrell Cates made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Brandt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Vogt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Big Flats Airport AFC's Terrell Cates ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Vogt. Aaron Vogt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 60 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goalkeeper Aaron Vogt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stan Hager. 65 minutes into the game, Jaime Brandt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aaron Vogt. Jaime Brandt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 68 minutes into the game, Terrell Cates cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Aaron Vogt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1-6 became the score in the 71st minute when Terrell Cates elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Johnson Lane's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Terrell Cates scored to the left of an out of position Aaron Vogt, making the score, 1-7. If Ward Sprague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Terrell Cates took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Aaron Vogt to make any attempt to save it. Stan Hager could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Aaron Vogt made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Aaron Vogt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 83 minutes into the match, Stan Hager notched a goal, 1-9, to the right of Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt. Aaron Vogt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stan Hager got free with Aaron Vogt in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute of the match, Stan Hager got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aaron Vogt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terrell Cates in the 88th minute of play. Aaron Vogt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Brandt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Big Flats Airport AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
