Tony Freitas scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yu Hong Feng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, LEXINGTON F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Angheloiu to maneuver through the defense. Sophan Sudiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yu Hong Feng. LEXINGTON F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bombai Bombis scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yu Hong Feng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. LEXINGTON F.C.'s Yu Hong Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Agnes in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Jack Agnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yu Hong Feng was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Kentucky Mustangs's Bombai Bombis got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Kentucky Mustangs were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

LEXINGTON F.C.'s Yu Hong Feng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save LEXINGTON F.C. from getting a goal against them. After 51 minutes, Jerry Seinfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LEXINGTON F.C. and the Kentucky Mustangs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jack Agnes took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yu Hong Feng. Yu Hong Feng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The supporters of Kentucky Mustangs booed when LEXINGTON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Harris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Agnes took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yu Hong Feng. Yu Hong Feng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 71 minutes into the game, Jamar Gill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LEXINGTON F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kentucky Mustangs the free kick. The supporters of Kentucky Mustangs booed when LEXINGTON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Gill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kentucky Mustangs's Cesar Hays was substituted for Tracy Brunson. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Bombai Bombis took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Yu Hong Feng to make any attempt to save it. 80 minutes into the match, LEXINGTON F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jose Cunningham came free, but Yu Hong Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Bombai Bombis took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Yu Hong Feng to make any attempt to save it. In the 85thth minute of the game Dino Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tony Freitas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yu Hong Feng firmly grabbed it by the left post. Yu Hong Feng made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Jack Agnes sent off a good shot on target. Stanford Peters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Seinfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kentucky Mustangs's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
