Power Soccer Best Club's Ken Givens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Cordero in the 6th minute of play. Shayne Cagle in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ken Givens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ken Givens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Shayne Cagle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rodolfo Cordero sped through Power Soccer Best Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ken Givens. 3-0 became the score in the 20th minute when Rodolfo Cordero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Waterbury Rangers's Shayne Cagle got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ken Givens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shayne Cagle in the 24th minute. With his leg Ken Givens managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Waterbury Rangers's Shayne Cagle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Shayne Cagle took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Ken Givens to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Power Soccer Best Club defense, Shayne Cagle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ken Givens. The Power Soccer Best Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ken Givens should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Waterbury Rangers getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shayne Cagle made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Rodolfo Cordero put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ken Givens. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shayne Cagle in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Ken Givens was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Boyd Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Agoos in the 76th minute of play. Ken Givens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kirby Edwards was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played.
