After 8 played minutes Blue Rock F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Baker. Fletcher Pritchett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Donnelly having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Cordero in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Silver saved Blue Rock F.C. from getting behind. In the 16th minute Rodolfo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Silver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Silver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Cordero in the 16th minute of play. Boyd Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Pritchett in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Silver. The Blue Rock F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Silver should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Cordero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Silver was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.
