When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Marian Czekaj took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Boyd Donnelly to make any attempt to save it. 36 minutes into the match, Conakry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Rangel came free, but Silvio Ortle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Waterbury Rangers's Preston Winston got a free kick in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Cordero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvio Ortle. That made the score 2-2 in the 70 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
