Nicky Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Östlund having to interfere. In the 15th minute Donovan Heath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egil Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Heath in the 20th minute of the match. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ward Doran in the 21st minute of the match. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Hills the free kick. Brian Mendoza kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ward Doran. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Jarrett Rosenberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ward Doran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarrett Rosenberg having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Novak to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Ward Doran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ward Doran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cosmos Soccer Club's Federico Maia was substituted for Robustiano Amor. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Golden Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orville Hough didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's Ward Doran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarrett Rosenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ward Doran came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Golden Hills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ward Doran couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Ward Doran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Doran in the 81st minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Donovan Heath left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ward Doran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Rosenberg having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ward Doran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrett Rosenberg was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Golden Hills were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
