With a little luck, Mini Club's Pavel Cartiș got control of the ball when Ryan Bellamy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egil Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlton Dykes in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match, Ryan Bellamy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pavel Cartiș was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. It was a penalty for Mini Club! In the 32nd minute, Golden Hills's Santo Sparks dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 35th minute, Jerold Brownell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pavel Cartiș. The goal made the score 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, A.J. Cotton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Hills's supporters rose to their feet, but A.J. Cotton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Cartiș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ward Doran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Pavel Cartiș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ward Doran was the one to do the kick off. Mini Club's Pavel Cartiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Brownell in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute Ward Doran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Cartiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If A.J. Cotton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ward Doran scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavel Cartiș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A.J. Cotton struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Pavel Cartiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Hills. 66 minutes into the match, Ward Doran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavel Cartiș. Mini Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ward Doran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. A collision led to Golden Hills getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. A.J. Cotton hit a great ball. Ward Doran scored 6-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavel Cartiș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pavel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Ward Doran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Pavel Cartiș was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ward Doran struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Pavel Cartiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Hills. After some careless play in the Mini Club defense, Ward Doran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pavel Cartiș. The Mini Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pavel Cartiș should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Golden Hills were the better team. Golden Hills's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
