With an extended leg and a bit of luck DeAndre Palacios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Winfred Deering kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. DeAndre Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Short, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 37 minutes into the match, White Sands's goal looked a bit too open when Clay Quintana came free, but DeAndre Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, DeAndre Goff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of DeAndre Palacios. White Sands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that DeAndre Goff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 43 minutes into the game, Phil Irwin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. White Sands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave American Top Team the free kick. Phil Irwin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Winford Craig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but DeAndre Palacios skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by DeAndre Goff in the 45th minute of play forced White Sands's goalkeeper DeAndre Palacios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Logan Vogel to strike the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Ellis hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Trevor Michaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Logan Vogel in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Logan Vogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Michaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, American Top Team's Arnoldo Short nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. DeAndre Palacios made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a little luck, White Sands's DeAndre Palacios got control of the ball when DeAndre Goff tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, American Top Team's Clay Quintana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Winford Craig's late challenge caught a White Sands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Winford Craig helped the player get up and apologised. Winford Craig hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Winford Craig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. DeAndre Palacios was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. American Top Team's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
