The São Paulo FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when São Paulo FC's Diego Milito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Brady Manning managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saks's supporters rose to their feet, but Brady Manning was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Milito hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brady Manning. After 15 minutes, Esteban Ziegler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saks and the São Paulo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Esteban Ziegler hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Saks got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Beltran. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Graig Hadley took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz to make any attempt to save it. Erasmo Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dexter Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Ziegler kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes of play Saks's Esteban Ziegler was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 27 played minutes Saks got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Ziegler. Ace Coffman took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dexter Stark. Dexter Stark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, São Paulo FC's Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz got control of the ball when Graig Hadley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wesley Hoskins hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Mohammad Beltran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Ace Coffman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dexter Stark was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 40th minute, Diego Milito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ace Coffman in the 43rd minute of play forced Saks's goalkeeper Dexter Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Saks defense, Ace Coffman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dexter Stark. The Saks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dexter Stark should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terrence Parrish in the 47th minute of play forced Saks's goalkeeper Dexter Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brady Manning stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Milito scored 1-6 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dexter Stark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dexter Stark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Milito in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, São Paulo FC's Oscar Sears dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. 68 minutes into the game, São Paulo FC's Erasmo Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dexter Stark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-9. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Antoine Keyes managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoine Keyes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dexter Stark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erasmo Paraíba came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dexter Stark could save by the left post. After 76 played minutes Diego Milito rounded Saks's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-10. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Erasmo Paraíba took a quick shot and it went in 1-11 without a chance for Dexter Stark to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Paraíba got free with Dexter Stark in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Saks's goalkeeper Dexter Stark had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antoine Keyes. The supporters of São Paulo FC booed when Saks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graig Hadley didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as São Paulo FC's Diego Milito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dexter Stark. That made the score 1-12 after 87 minutes of play. São Paulo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ace Coffman in the 92nd minute. São Paulo FC played a much better game than Saks and deserved their victory. The Saks players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
