The supporters of São Paulo FC booed when Chard United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kerem Aktürkoglu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Virgilio Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute Lamar Arthur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chard United fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Chard United's Virgilio Kennedy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Virgilio Kennedy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz. That made the score 0-7 in the 89 minute of play. Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Kennedy, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Santos Santio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Milito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Chard United's Martin Craven sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaroslaw Jaroszewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chard United played a much better game than São Paulo FC and deserved their victory. The São Paulo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
