In the 18th minute, Kory Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Miomir Knežević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kory Leal in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miomir Knežević saved Sajokia from getting behind. Miomir Knežević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Ao Yu in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Ao Yu in the 29th minute of play forced Sajokia's goalkeeper Miomir Knežević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Joey Bishop almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sajokia's Miomir Knežević did a great save. Dominik Banaszak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor de Barros in the 33rd minute. Miomir Knežević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Siggesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miomir Knežević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiang Ao Yu in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Joey Bishop made a precise shot to the right of Miomir Knežević. Sajokia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kory Leal made a kick off. When the final whistle sounded Delmont left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sajokia.
