But to his dismay, Jiang Ao Yu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. INTER MIAMI's Monty Pepper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kory Leal in the 12th minute of play. Monty Pepper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kory Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ted Siggesson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Monty Pepper was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kory Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Delmont fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Ted Siggesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Monty Pepper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monty Pepper was a little too slow when Ted Siggesson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-7. When Kory Leal came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Delmont fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kory Leal couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Kory Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, INTER MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Kory Leal came free, but Monty Pepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Jiang Ao Yu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monty Pepper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Jiang Ao Yu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delmont fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. In the 69th minute, Ted Siggesson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kory Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joey Bishop hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Monty Pepper was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jiang Ao Yu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, INTER MIAMI's Roscoe Hurd got a free kick in the 77th minute. Monty Pepper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Bishop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kory Leal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Monty Pepper made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Ronny Cummins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER MIAMI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. Ted Siggesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, INTER MIAMI's goalkeeper Monty Pepper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kory Leal. Delmont's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
