Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wayne Winners's Willie Bridges started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Monty Pepper was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Shane Tolbert. When Vernon Jarrell came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the INTER MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vernon Jarrell couldn't finish the play. Cedric Covingtons short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Monty Pepper to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Toby Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Fair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Monty Pepper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willie Bridges in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Ronny Cummins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spencer Clay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Willie Bridges reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Monty Pepper. The goal made the score 1-0. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Willie Bridges took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Monty Pepper to make any attempt to save it. Monty Pepper made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Dalton Henley sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the INTER MIAMI defense, Dalton Henley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Monty Pepper. The INTER MIAMI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Monty Pepper should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 27 in the game by Cedric Covington from a close distance when the talented Monty Pepper managed to make a qualified save. INTER MIAMI's players were relieved. After 33 played minutes Wayne Winners got a freekick which was hit by Cedric Covington. INTER MIAMI's Monty Pepper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save INTER MIAMI from getting a goal against them. Spencer Clay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Cummins in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wayne Winners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roland Fair was slow to take the kick. During this time INTER MIAMI's players had a chance to rest. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Wayne Winners's goalkeeper Spencer Clay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Bridges in the 44th minute of play forced INTER MIAMI's goalkeeper Monty Pepper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Roland Fair cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Spencer Clay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Cummins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Willie Bridges scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Monty Pepper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roscoe Hurd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robby Fairchild sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vernon Jarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 64 minutes into the match, INTER MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Willie Bridges came free, but Monty Pepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvin Fields fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spencer Clay having to interfere. Spencer Clay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roscoe Hurd, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ronny Cummins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Spencer Clay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Caleb Bernard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wayne Winners's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER MIAMI the free kick. After 80 played minutes Wayne Winners got a freekick which was hit by Caleb Bernard. 81 minutes into the match, INTER MIAMI's Ronny Cummins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Spencer Clay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Vernon Jarrell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Spencer Clay. Vernon Jarrell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Roscoe Hurd got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vernon Jarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spencer Clay was a little too slow when Ronny Cummins got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 4-3. INTER MIAMI's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Wayne Winners had won, even though INTER MIAMI had held more of the ball.
