Shawn Hood scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Oberle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Oberle came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by West Oahu Wave Riders's Shawn Hood. But to his dismay, Shawn Hood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 24th minute, Emery Nash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fabian Frank came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the West Oahu Wave Riders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Frank couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses got control of the ball when Marlon Koenig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivan Oberle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thaddeus Simon in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Mendenhall FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Frank came free, but Ivan Oberle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, West Oahu Wave Riders's Fabian Frank made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kelly Rasmussen hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ivan Oberle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Hood, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Thomas Christian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marlon Koenig to make the kick off. West Oahu Wave Riders's Andre Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marlon Koenig in the 54th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Mendenhall FC's goalkeeper Ivan Oberle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Hood. In the 62nd minute, Thaddeus Simon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Oberle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Ivan Oberle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Hood in the 65th minute of the match. Ivan Oberle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Mendenhall FC's Claudio Fitzpatrick was substituted for Kerry Middleton. After 79 played minutes West Oahu Wave Riders got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Frank. In the 82nd minute, Claudio Fitzpatrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Fabian Wills sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ivan Oberle threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Fabian Wills this time. Emery Nash kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ivan Oberle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Frank in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Shane Haynes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendenhall FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Haynes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Moses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Shawn Hood managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Oahu Wave Riders's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
