With a little luck, Inter Miami's Riley Moss got control of the ball when Vern Bowles tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Inter Miami defense, Darin Gustafson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Riley Moss. The Inter Miami fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Riley Moss should have stopped the shot. Vern Bowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Inter Miami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Krause didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dwight Krause hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami's Dane Starnes got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Dwight Krause sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddie Farris skillfully saved the ball. Inter Miami's Riley Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Bowles in the 40th minute of play. Riley Moss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Walls, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brent Sellers hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Dwight Krause hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Rebel Squids's Brett Esparza got a free kick in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicky Nichols to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Leonardo Walls cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Riley Moss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Walls in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Riley Moss saved Inter Miami from getting behind. Rodolfo Hood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Burch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Farris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Nichols in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Inter Miami booed when Rebel Squids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brent Sellers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Leonardo Walls ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Riley Moss was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 76th minute, Mohammad Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes, Rebel Squids's Alfredo Hartman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Riley Moss came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rebel Squids reached it. Riley Moss came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Rebel Squids's Darin Gustafson. But to his dismay, Darin Gustafson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Riley Moss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darin Gustafson in the 83rd minute of the match. Inter Miami's Riley Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darin Gustafson in the 85th minute of play. Riley Moss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brent Sellers went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riley Moss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rebel Squids had played much better football throughout.
