Jed Gilmore who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Dane Fraser when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th play minute Jed Gilmore came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dane Fraser. 1-0. The corner ended in Jed Gilmore almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montesa de Lugo's Dane Fraser did a great save. In the 39th match minute, Montesa de Lugo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Benitez to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Quinn to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Montesa de Lugo's Phillip Benitez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fletcher Huffman. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. Fletcher Huffman was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Alfredo Quinn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Quinn really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Grimes FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Grimes FC's Jed Gilmore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
