The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Mila Doce's Isidro Amos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddie Farris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Dougherty in the 7th minute of play forced Rebel Squids's goalkeeper Freddie Farris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Neil Dougherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vern Bowles in the 9th minute of play forced Mila Doce's goalkeeper Duncan Fielden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neil Dougherty kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Darin Gustafson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Duncan Fielden made a huge save. Darin Gustafson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Isidro Amos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mila Doce's Duncan Fielden got control of the ball when Darin Gustafson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Noel Bullard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebel Squids's Freddie Farris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Mila Doce's Noel Bullard in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rebel Squids's goalie prevented a goal. Freddie Farris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Bullard in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vern Bowles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rebel Squids's supporters rose to their feet, but Vern Bowles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Fielden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duncan Fielden made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Darin Gustafson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Amos in the 31st minute of play forced Rebel Squids's goalkeeper Freddie Farris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Duncan Fielden throw himself and got hold of the ball when Vern Bowles in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 38th minute, Victor Burger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mila Doce's Noel Bullard in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Noel Bullard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Farris was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With his leg Freddie Farris managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Mila Doce's 姚平沙 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Noel Bullard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Mila Doce were awarded a corner. Isidro Amos went to the cornerflag to take it. Isidro Amos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Rebel Squids's Darin Gustafson got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mila Doce made a substitution. Roger Sutton replaced Robby Kelley. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Mila Doce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lionel Cronin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Freddie Farris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when 姚平沙 got free with Freddie Farris in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Isidro Amos came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Mila Doce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Amos couldn't finish the play. Darin Gustafson's late challenge caught a Mila Doce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darin Gustafson helped the player get up and apologised. Darin Gustafson kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Mila Doce's Lionel Cronin in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice moves 姚平沙 could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Freddie Farris however easily saved by the left post. 91 minutes into the match, Mila Doce's goal looked a bit too open when Vern Bowles came free, but Duncan Fielden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Darin Gustafson came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Rebel Squids fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darin Gustafson couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Lionel Cronin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddie Farris was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Mila Doce played a much better game than Rebel Squids and deserved their victory. The Rebel Squids players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
