An unexpectedly hard shot by Jason Stuart in the 4th minute of play forced Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Wade Hightower to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los Angeles Galaxy getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cedric Scales hit a great ball. 1-0 became the score in the 6th minute when Jason Stuart elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Wade Hightower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Stuart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wade Hightower made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Stuart in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedric Scales during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Los Angeles Galaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedric Scales to maneuver through the defense. Los Angeles Galaxy's Wade Hightower played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Stuart in the 20th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Wade Hightower had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cyryl Karpinski. 29 minutes into the match, Jason Stuart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wade Hightower, 3-0. In the 34th minute Jason Stuart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wade Hightower saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Hardin's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Hardin helped the player get up and apologised. Wade Hightower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernie Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Ernie Dixon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wade Hightower. Los Angeles Galaxy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernie Dixon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 42 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Dixon came free, but Wade Hightower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Wilfred Holley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wade Hightower saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Cyryl Karpinski might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wade Hightower. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cyryl Karpinski ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Karpinski in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Wade Hightower to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Jason Stuart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wade Hightower made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 60th minute, Rich Jean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 65 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Jason Stuart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wade Hightower made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Boca Juniors's J.C. Ogden was substituted for Ernie Dixon. In the 71st minute Shelby Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wade Hightower saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wade Hightower showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Karpinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Wade Hightower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Stuart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Shelby Cruz came free, but Wade Hightower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wade Hightower came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Shelby Cruz. But to his dismay, Shelby Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Tristan Mansfield kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Sidney Sellers replaced Shelby Cruz. Tristan Mansfield hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles Galaxy's Al Mims got a free kick in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when J.C. Ogden came free, but Wade Hightower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Los Angeles Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Alan Hardin. In the 90th minute of the match Sidney Sellers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wade Hightower skillfully saved the ball. In the 91stth minute of the game J.C. Ogden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Angeles Galaxy's Wade Hightower was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, J.C. Ogden notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Los Angeles Galaxy's Wade Hightower. Wade Hightower was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
