In the 15th minute Virgilio Cowan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Dömötör saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Connors made a kick off. Roland Dömötör made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinton Rivers in the 53rd minute of play. Stanford McKee hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Connors in the 60th minute of play forced Banfield FI's goalkeeper Markus Bachman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roland Dömötör was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute Quinton Rivers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Dömötör saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Banfield FI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
