Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Josh Vega made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Westville's Allen Locke got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Reynaldo Connors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Merlin Jarrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josh Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. After 17 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Tuan Holloway. After a defensive mix-up in Westville's zone, Josh Vega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Jarrett came out of the goal and Josh Vega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merlin Jarrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josh Vega, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Reynaldo Connors took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Merlin Jarrett. Merlin Jarrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Westville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roscoe Light didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Westville's goalkeeper Merlin Jarrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Tyrell Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyrell Lambert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Jarrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Connors's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merlin Jarrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Arsenal's corner Tuan Holloway fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Merlin Jarrett quite easily take care of the ball. Reynaldo Connors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casey Rowley's late challenge caught a Westville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casey Rowley helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Casey Rowley hit a great ball. Josh Vega struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Merlin Jarrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. Josh Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Merlin Jarrett having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Tyrell Lambert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Merlin Jarrett was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Westville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal the free kick. Arsenal's Tyrell Lambert got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Cesar Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Josh Vega could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Merlin Jarrett however easily saved by the left post. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Westville's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tuan Holloway was slow to take the kick. During this time Arsenal's players had a chance to rest. Tyrell Lambert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Westville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grady Pettit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Connors's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merlin Jarrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Josh Vega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merlin Jarrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Westville's goalkeeper Merlin Jarrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josh Vega.
