Marshall Hahn was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 24 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Coley came free, but Rafael Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Wade Hightower, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. USA's Rafael Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Federico Darnell kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Marshall Hahn could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Rafael Valle however easily saved by the left post. Wade Hightower showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danial Vega in the 46th minute of the match. Marshall Hahn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danial Vega was the one to do the kick off. USA's Rafael Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wawrzyniec Pietrowski in the 51st minute of play. Dane Quinones hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Wawrzyniec Pietrowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Federico Darnell fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored USA's protests and gave Federico Darnell a yellow card for diving instead. Los Angeles Galaxy's Wade Hightower played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dane Quinones in the 60th minute of play. Dane Quinoness short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Wade Hightower to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 62 played minutes Los Angeles Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Al Mims. USA's Rafael Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshall Hahn in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Wawrzyniec Pietrowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Angeles Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wawrzyniec Pietrowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Hahn in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Al Mims ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 81 minutes into the game, Los Angeles Galaxy's Wawrzyniec Pietrowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 84 minutes into the game, Jose Irizarry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Angeles Galaxy the free kick. After 84 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jose Irizarry. 7-0 became the score in the 87th minute when Wawrzyniec Pietrowski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Wawrzyniec Pietrowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of USA booed when Los Angeles Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Angeles Galaxy had played much better football throughout.
