Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Len McAllister started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Westville's zone, Elequemedo Vinambres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Jarrett came out of the goal and Elequemedo Vinambres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Stan Craft made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Jarrett. Westville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Westville's goal looked a bit too open when Len McAllister came free, but Merlin Jarrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Julio Fisher made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Jarrett. Westville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 17 minutes, Len McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield FI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Len McAllister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Stan Craft ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Jarrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Stan Craft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 played minutes Westville got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Chapman. Banfield FI's Julio Fisher got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Banfield FI's Len McAllister got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Banfield FI's Markus Bachman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Stjohn in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Westville's goal looked a bit too open when Elequemedo Vinambres came free, but Merlin Jarrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Soldevila got free with Markus Bachman in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Harding hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Banfield FI's Leon Ledochowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merlin Jarrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Connor Gee was the one to do the kick off. If Elequemedo Vinambres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roscoe Light kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 59th minute, when Banfield FI's Maurício Roriz after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Merlin Jarrett in Westville's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Quinton Rivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banfield FI's Markus Bachman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Givens in the 66th minute of play. Merlin Jarrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Quinton Rivers took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Merlin Jarrett to make any attempt to save it. Markus Bachman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connor Gee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Westville getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Allan Harding hit a great ball. Westville's Merlin Jarrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Roriz in the 97th minute of play. Banfield FI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
