Russell Lund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Russell Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Feliciano in the 7th minute of the match. Lucrețiu Gherase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Woodrow Ricks in the 9th minute of play. If Mitch Dunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Mitch Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Gherase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Phyperstars FC's Mitch Dunn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucrețiu Gherase made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Phyperstars FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jesus Molina hit a great ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Ron McElroy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Mitch Dunn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lucrețiu Gherase was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilson Gold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Lake Mohawk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Dunn came free, but Lucrețiu Gherase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes, Mitch Dunn made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitch Dunn in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucrețiu Gherase prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucrețiu Gherase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch Dunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Lake Mohawk FC booed when Phyperstars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Kessler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Phyperstars FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mitch Dunn to strike the kick off in the second half. Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Lake Mohawk FC from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Lake Mohawk FC's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Gherase had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mitch Dunn. If Myles Clearwater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Lake Mohawk FC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Rodger Emerson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodger Emerson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Lucrețiu Gherase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phyperstars FC. When Mitch Dunn came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Phyperstars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Dunn couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Tracy Landry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
