Nikolas Papadamous took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Barnard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Papadamous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donnie Ragland in the 9th minute of play. Ross Holliday charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ross Holliday the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, one of Jacksonville FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacksonville FC. The referee gave Black Sails FC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Terence Thurston, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jacksonville FC's Nikolas Papadamous. 0-1. After 17 played minutes Black Sails FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Shook. In the 18th minute of the match, Taylor Wiley got a very nice opportunity to score, but Craig Velazquez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Jacksonville FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jess Bentley hit a great ball. Federico Healy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig Velazquez having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jacksonville FC's 石岚夕 got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Roberto Costa got free with Craig Velazquez in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Federico Healy kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Adrian Shook hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Terence Thurston kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jacksonville FC's Douglas Berg got a free kick in the 34th minute. Black Sails FC's Craig Velazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Costa in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Sails FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Douglas Berg was slow to take the kick. During this time Jacksonville FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Douglas Berg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black Sails FC's Craig Velazquez did a great save. Ignacio Kuhn hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Healy in the 43rd minute of play forced Black Sails FC's goalkeeper Craig Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Healy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian Shook kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The supporters of Black Sails FC booed when Jacksonville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Healy didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taylor Wiley in the 57th minute of play forced Black Sails FC's goalkeeper Craig Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taylor Wiley struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Craig Velazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacksonville FC. Craig Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Nikolas Papadamous made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Fisher in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Black Sails FC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Healy came free, but Craig Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, one of Black Sails FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Black Sails FC. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Jacksonville FC. Douglas Berg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Craig Velazquez. 1-1. After 68 played minutes Jacksonville FC got a freekick which was hit by Ward Reaves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Justice in the 72nd minute of play forced Jacksonville FC's goalkeeper Nikolas Papadamous to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Jacksonville FC's goalkeeper Nikolas Papadamous had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Fisher. Nikolas Papadamous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donnie Ragland in the 88th minute of play. Nikolas Papadamous tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacksonville FC's Nikolas Papadamous played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donnie Ragland in the 98th minute of play. When Taylor Wiley came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Jacksonville FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taylor Wiley couldn't finish the play. The Jacksonville FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
