Spectators: 8574 (Terracing: 6432, Seating: 1971, VIP seats: 171) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Derick Murry took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Ruthless Rovers's Ty Yoder got control of the ball when Derick Murry tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Slower Lower FC's Derick Murry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ty Yoder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derick Murry in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ty Yoder saved Ruthless Rovers from getting behind. In the last second Ty Yoder throw himself and got hold of the ball when Derick Murry in the 12thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Slower Lower FC's Ross Buchanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Looney in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Diego Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Wiegmann scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ross Buchanan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Nereo Florinio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Diego Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theo Schumacher during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theo Schumacher hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Slower Lower FC booed when Ruthless Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Hoyt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Hickman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ty Yoder having to interfere. Ross Buchanan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilmer Hoyt in the 37th minute of play. Jörn Emmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilmer Hoyt made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Grant Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruthless Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Grant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute of the match Ruthless Rovers got a corner. Slower Lower FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kip Blount ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ruthless Rovers's Kip Blount to fire away a dangerous shot which Ross Buchanan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ross Buchanan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Wiegmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Frank Wiegmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slower Lower FC's Ross Buchanan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ty Yoder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derick Murry in the 69th minute of the match. If Derick Murry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Slower Lower FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilmer Hoyt came free, but Ross Buchanan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ross Buchanan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenney Theys in the 80th minute. Ruthless Rovers were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Slower Lower FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kip Blount took the corner. Ruthless Rovers's Kip Blount was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ross Buchanan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 86th minute Frank Wiegmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Frank Wiegmann took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ross Buchanan to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilmer Hoyt in the 93rd minute of play forced Slower Lower FC's goalkeeper Ross Buchanan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
