In the 9th minute Ron McElroy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emery Couch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Girth FC's Jospeh Timmons got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th match minute, Girth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jospeh Timmons to maneuver through the defense. Ron McElroy struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Emery Couch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phyperstars FC. The supporters of Girth FC booed when Phyperstars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitch Dunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emery Couch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch Dunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Kerry Hudson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerry Hudson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Mitch Dunn put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Emery Couch. Woodrow Ricks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Emery Couch made a huge save. In the 32ndth minute of the game Mitch Dunn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girth FC's Emery Couch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Russell Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Hudson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Girth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Dunn came free, but Emery Couch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Rodger Emerson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Kerry Hudson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mitch Dunn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Emery Couch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rdth minute of the game Mitch Dunn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girth FC's Emery Couch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Phyperstars FC fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Phyperstars FC's Mitch Dunn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kerry Hudson made a kick off. Ron McElroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emery Couch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitch Dunn in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emery Couch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Jospeh Timmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Girth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Dunn came free, but Emery Couch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Del Altman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Girth FC got a freekick which was hit by Denver Burton. Ron McElroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Emery Couch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Rodger Emerson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phyperstars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodger Emerson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emery Couch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emery Couch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Dunn in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Phyperstars FC got a corner. Girth FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tracy Landry ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Phyperstars FC's Ron McElroy to fire away a dangerous shot which Emery Couch despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mitch Dunn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allen Stover hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Rodger Emerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emery Couch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Girth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jospeh Timmons to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Girth FC's Edgar Sjöberg got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Rodger Emerson fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phyperstars FC's protests and gave Rodger Emerson a yellow card for diving instead. Rodger Emerson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
