The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. DeMarcus Peoples made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Russell in the 3rd minute of play. After 3 minutes, Đỗ Do mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Łapsze Niżne and the Western Springs FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Đỗ Do kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Kerry McDonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but DeMarcus Peoples read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Emmanuel Corley made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. GKS Łapsze Niżne's DeMarcus Peoples tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. DeMarcus Peoples showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. DeMarcus Peoples took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DeMarcus Peoples showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Corley in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes GKS Łapsze Niżne got a freekick which was hit by Whitney Wong. Marty Hanley kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Frankie Russell kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the GKS Łapsze Niżne defense, Kerry McDonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of DeMarcus Peoples. The GKS Łapsze Niżne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that DeMarcus Peoples should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Western Springs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry McDonald to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Emmanuel Corley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Homer Metzger to strike the kick off in the second half. DeMarcus Peoples showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerry McDonald got free with DeMarcus Peoples in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingo Slaughter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hal Mackey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Western Springs FC's Kerry McDonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. DeMarcus Peoples made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 68 minutes, Whitney Wong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Łapsze Niżne and the Western Springs FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Kerry McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Western Springs FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Garry Conn hit a great ball. DeMarcus Peoples made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Kerry McDonald sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the game, Kerry McDonald recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of DeMarcus Peoples. Kerry McDonald showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 85th minute Emmanuel Corley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus Peoples saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garry Conn in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg DeMarcus Peoples saved GKS Łapsze Niżne from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Western Springs FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
