The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Craig Velazquez was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Marty Bassett capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marty Bassett really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ignacio Kuhn charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Kuhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ignacio Kuhn kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The throw-in from Albert Burgess in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Wellford AFC's Weldon Phillips. Walker Pugh's late challenge caught a Black Sails FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walker Pugh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Walker Pugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Fisher in the 15th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wellford AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Walker Pugh hit a great ball. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Fisher in the 22nd minute of play. Wellford AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Shayne Garland in the 25th minute. The corner led Wellford AFC's Tomas McGrath to fire away a dangerous shot which Craig Velazquez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute of the game Tomas McGrath made a throw-in which Weldon Phillips played forward. Madars Uchiha kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Wellford AFC's Shayne Garland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 45 minutes, Cory Baca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellford AFC and the Black Sails FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dominique Polk shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The supporters of Black Sails FC booed when Wellford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walker Pugh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Craig Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shayne Garland, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Albert Burgess kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Albert Burgess hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Shayne Garland succeeded in the game's 67th minute to get real power on a long shot . Black Sails FC's Craig Velazquez hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-0! When Ignacio Kuhn was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. If Shayne Garland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cory Baca hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wellford AFC had won after a very even match.
