With a little luck, Jacksonville FC's Nikolas Papadamous got control of the ball when Weldon Phillips tried to sneak it across the goal line. Taylor Wiley kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Wellford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Jordan to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Jacksonville FC's goalkeeper Nikolas Papadamous had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shayne Garland. 13 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. J.C. Barker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Shayne Garland reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nikolas Papadamous. The goal made the score 2-1. Shayne Garland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. J.C. Barker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Costa in the 28th minute of play. The Wellford AFC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Wellford AFC's Shayne Garland looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Wellford AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jacksonville FC:s goal. When Shayne Garland came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Wellford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shayne Garland couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Wellford AFC's zone, Federico Healy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. J.C. Barker came out of the goal and Federico Healy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th match minute, Wellford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Weldon Phillips to maneuver through the defense. J.C. Barker made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Taylor Wiley sent off a good shot on target. Jacksonville FC's Federico Healy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Wellford AFC. 77 minutes into the match, Jacksonville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Weldon Phillips came free, but Nikolas Papadamous reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Bassett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikolas Papadamous read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Keith Bass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taylor Wiley's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but J.C. Barker firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 86 minutes of play, Wellford AFC's Shayne Garland made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikolas Papadamous was left in no man's land by his defense there! J.C. Barker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second J.C. Barker throw himself and got hold of the ball when Zé Roberto Costa in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Nikolas Papadamous stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shayne Garland's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Shayne Garland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolas Papadamous saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Wellford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Costa came free, but J.C. Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
