In the 18th match minute, Wellford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winston Moser to maneuver through the defense. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Lefler in the 19th minute of play. Winston Moser kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Máximo Coimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Shayne Garland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Wellford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Glen Lefler came free, but J.C. Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. J.C. Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Garrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Glen Lefler charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glen Lefler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shayne Garland to strike the kick off in the second half. Barker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Oskitz went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Wellford AFC booed when New Iberia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Garrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute Bruno Oskitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.C. Barker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shayne Garland in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Remicio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wellford AFC's Walker Pugh suffered a sore thigh after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 73 minutes, Roy Garrison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Iberia AFC and the Wellford AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wellford AFC made a substitution. George Dennis replaced Walker Pugh. Roy Garrison hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Eduardo Remicio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Bassett in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, New Iberia AFC's Bruno Oskitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that J.C. Barker narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
