Marty Bassett hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Wilson Gold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lake Mohawk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Gold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. J.C. Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. J.C. Barker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Singer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tanner Barnhart hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Preston Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. J.C. Barker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. J.C. Barker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Gold in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes, Walker Pugh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellford AFC and the Lake Mohawk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wellford AFC's Walker Pugh got a free kick in the 22nd minute. J.C. Barker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Gold in the 23rd minute of the match. J.C. Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Gold, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Gold in the 28th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Wellford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Preston Ferreira came free, but J.C. Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Wellford AFC booed when Lake Mohawk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Joyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shayne Garland was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Gold in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Feliciano in the 45th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Feliciano took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised J.C. Barker. J.C. Barker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Lake Mohawk FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Feliciano made a kick off. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Wellford AFC from getting a goal against them. In the last second J.C. Barker throw himself and got hold of the ball when Davis Mabry in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After taking down the ball on Lake Mohawk FC's corner Dan Feliciano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and J.C. Barker quite easily take care of the ball. J.C. Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Gold, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dan Feliciano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but J.C. Barker made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lake Mohawk FC's Wilson Gold slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of J.C. Barker. That made the score 0-3 after 62 minutes of play. J.C. Barker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Feliciano in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Gold in the 68th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.C. Barker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Preston Ferreira in the 71st minute. Wellford AFC's J.C. Barker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Wellford AFC from getting a goal against them. Wellford AFC's J.C. Shayne Garland scored 1-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucrețiu Gherase, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preston Ferreira in the 87th minute of play forced Wellford AFC's goalkeeper J.C. Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Preston Ferreira in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck J.C. Barker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th match minute, Lake Mohawk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Gold to maneuver through the defense. Lake Mohawk FC played a much better game than Wellford AFC and deserved their victory. The Wellford AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
