Pueblo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Medley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yoel Quevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Recolta Alamor's Yoel Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Franco in the 10th minute of play. Russell Hare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Bateman in the 18th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Damian Dean got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Boyd Winkler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute, Shelton Clifton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler got control of the ball when Wes Nichols tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Damian Dean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boyd Winkler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theodore Cagle in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Recolta Alamor's zone, Douglas Medley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yoel Quevedo came out of the goal and Douglas Medley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Gerry Franco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yoel Quevedo was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Bateman in the 43rd minute of play. Gerry Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Medley to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Recolta Alamor's Yoel Quevedo got control of the ball when Douglas Medley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Recolta Alamor's Yoel Quevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Recolta Alamor from getting a goal against them. Yoel Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Franco in the 70th minute of play. Yoel Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell Hare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Recolta Alamor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after George Haley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Recolta Alamor made a substitution. Phil Riggs replaced Chris Bateman. Yoel Quevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerry Franco in the 77th minute. Phil Riggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Boyd Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Recolta Alamor's Luciano Cronshagen was substituted for Norman Donnelly. When Pueblo FC's Russell Hare in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Nichols in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Riggs came free, but Boyd Winkler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Cronshagen in the 92nd minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
