In the 3rd minute Steve Van Clynenbreugel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rinto Kalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Davenport could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Bob Hyatt made a huge save. Lake Wales FC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after ACC Mavericks's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Garth Wray took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rey Ivey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bob Hyatt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bob Hyatt made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Roland Davenport sent off a good shot on target. After 14 minutes of play, Lake Wales FC's Danial Salter made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bob Hyatt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Garth Wray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Garth Wray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lake Wales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Wray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Hyatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Steve Van Clynenbreugel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla. Rinto Kalla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ian Chung received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bob Hyatt came out and tried to block the shot, but Ian Chung slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. Danial Salter kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Lance Yeats hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Salter in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Chung to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danial Salter in the 50th minute of play forced ACC Mavericks's goalkeeper Bob Hyatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ACC Mavericks's Bob Hyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Chung in the 52nd minute of play. Bob Hyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Wray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla got control of the ball when Nerio Lopez de Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tuan Eubanks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rinto Kalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ACC Mavericks's Bob Hyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Salter in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Lake Wales FC were awarded a corner. Garth Wray went to the cornerflag to take it. Ian Chung struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bob Hyatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Wales FC. Tuan Eubanks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacy Kitchen in the 79th minute of play forced ACC Mavericks's goalkeeper Bob Hyatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Procopio might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rinto Kalla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Procopio ran back to his position shaking his head. Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuan Eubanks in the 90th minute of play. Bob Hyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial Salter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danial Salter in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Hyatt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lake Wales FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
