The audience was convinced that Braulio Bordat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhys Dimmock was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dwayne Woodward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tytus Banaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Los Fresnos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eldon Triplett to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Bordat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rhys Dimmock made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Los Fresnos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oren Brewer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dwayne Woodward made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Balaeț in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes, Zamalek FC's Chunche Montero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dwayne Woodward came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zamalek FC reached it. Chris Marion kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
