From a short distance, S.D. Bajen's Lincoln Hand, in the 3rd minute, tried to place the ball behind Bektaş Veli Tokuz, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Lincoln Hand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Veli Tokuz having to interfere. Isto Holttinen scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duke Munoz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Markham FC's Bartolo Urtzi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bartolo Urtzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duke Munoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Daren Kelley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duke Munoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Urtzi came free, but Duke Munoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
